David Storm, studio owner
I am passionate about your passions, your dreams, your visions. What emotions do you want your music to convey to the listener? What do you want to feel when you record? As your recording engineer, I will do all in my power to make your music reach its highest potential.
When I was 12 years old, my father built a large photo studio right next to our house, in a forested area on the edge of our town, Örebro. Growing up, I followed in his footsteps a lot and he taught me his trade of photography. But I was always playing guitar in different bands after school and right from the start, writing my own music.
As I grew older, I started to borrow the studio, for rehearsing, and to make my first home-made recordings. Later, and after three years of university studies in Music production, I was buying more gear and putting in there than we had ever thought there'd be room for. Today, the high-ceilinged room with the large window overlooking the pines, is more music studio than photo studio. But, not forgetting my roots, I’m still going behind the camera making music videos, and more recently, venturing into the world of feature film making.
I believe that all art is connected. As a musician, I know how caught up you can get in your own performance. But as a producer, and as a practitioner of multiple artforms, I also see the larger picture and the threads connecting it all; Performance and emotion, sight and sound. My mission is to help your art reach that point, when everything is connected.
